This premises had a 70 year old
pohutakawa tree that had dug its tap roots down till it hit the sandstone beneath, then did a u turn and headed for the nearest exit which was a existing retaining wall which did not look appealing and ruined the wall in a matter of years.
This meant having to remove a tree and all roots systems associated with the tree, removal of existing top soil deposits and relevelling the garden which had a 600mm incline.
We then installed a new post hidden retaining wall and stone steps, relayed the existing entry cobble stones and rebuilt a concrete surface drain to the retaining wall.
All gardens were refilled with a 100mm of premium topsoil and reused the pohutakawa mulsh to the topp of the garden bed.
